Demand Surges for NEET-UG 2024 Reexamination Amidst Paper Leak Scandal

During the monitoring process by supervisors, some students were compelled to exit the examination hall with the NEET 2024 question papers. In a startling revelation, the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has uncovered a significant paper leak scandal related to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate medical courses conducted on May 5, 2024.

The scandal implicates a complex network of intermediaries who purportedly leaked question papers to candidates in exchange for exorbitant amounts of money. As per reports from the Bihar Police Headquarters, these intermediaries exploited vulnerable medical aspirants, charging them between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 50 lakh each, with promises of providing leaked question papers before the examination.

These candidates were housed in lodges in Patna, where they allegedly received question papers disguised as NEET-UG papers for memorization. Social and political activists have taken to social media platforms to demand justice and a reexamination for NEET-UG 2024, drawing comparisons to similar incidents where exams were swiftly canceled by the government due to proven leaks.
